Dr. Alan Koslow is a humanitarian physician, disaster-response leader, and public health advocate with more than 50 years of service. His work spans medical missions in Haiti, South Sudan, the Philippines, Central America, and Alaska, along with extensive advocacy in Iowa for children’s health, stem cell research, and emergency preparedness.

He has received multiple national volunteer awards, directed the DragonCon Heinlein Blood Drive for over two decades, and interviewed national leaders and scientists through his public policy and science-communication work. His lifelong commitment is simple: medicine, service, and community.
